Flexible packaging offers environmental benefits too! First, it requires fewer raw materials than traditional packaging, resulting in a lower carbon footprint. It is also lightweight and compact, reducing transportation costs and emissions. Furthermore, the flexibility allows for efficient use of space, reducing waste and optimizing storage. With proper material structure, flexible packaging provides barrier protection and extends shelf life, ultimately reducing waste.

At Blu-Zone Packaging, we continuously explore sustainable solutions that reduce environmental impact while meeting consumer demands for convenient and functional packaging. We’ve introduced store-recyclable PP material (digital printing) and PE material (rotogravure printing). We are also working on the anaerobic biodegradable material as our next step of a green alternative.

Recycling technology is also evolving to handle a broader range of packaging materials, including those that were previously considered difficult to recycle. Most of our products (except paper-laminated materials) are now included in British Columbia’s Flexible Plastic Packaging Recycle Program .
